Obviously we have had an amazing start. Like my other children, our wee beastie, came on her own time. No consideration for her mama or her mama's plans, but I have always said our children have a double dose of stubborn!
So with out any further ado - here is our new addition...
OUR WEE BEASTIE - SELENA MAEVE |
On New Year's Eve, my cousins predicted that she would arrive on the 7th of January. Of course it has been stinking hot here this summer, and I was already over it by the end of the year, (OK I was over it before Christmas, if I am honest!) the thought of another week made me even crankier than I was.
But true to their prediction, she did arrive on the seventh - and like most new mama's, all that discomfort + crankiness, faded away and was eclipsed by the miracle that is our Wee Beastie.
So, I have been rediscovering what it is like to have a new born in the house + so far so good, but for me it's usually the third week, just when you think you have it all under control, that it all goes to shit.
I love having paint on my hands! |
And I have done heaps of sketching, in between feeding, + nappies. So creatively I am bursting with ideas + plans.
And hopefully that studio time will be easier to grab once we settle into a routine of sorts.
But in the meantime I am loving the time I am spending with the kids, and I am totally appreciating being more mobile and feeling like myself again!
So although I had planned on getting back into the swing of things this week. I decided to instead go with the flow and do what feels right.
But before I go, I wanted to say thank you to everyone for your well wishes, and amazing support. I appreciate it more than you will ever know.
p.s
I can't resist sharing this with you - she is just so damn cute.... ok, ok - I am so totally biased here!! I promise not to over whelm you with baby photos - well not to many!
