☆ A Belated ATC Exchange Reveal

This week has seen a huge amount of work being completed.

*New paintings (can't wait to show you this one in particular - in my opinion one of my best yet!)

*I have up a new face book fan page, 

*I am part way through a redesign for Listening to the Squeak, 

*Lifebook 2012 started (so. much. fun and its not too late to join!) and 

*I am half way through my submission for Inspiration Avenue's Damask Challenge 

But I have been meaning to share these ATC's with you before the start of 2012, but in the frantic lead up to christmas, lots of planning and reflection around the new year, and the start of Lifebook this week, they we lost for a wee bit.

Last months ATC exchange on willowing was baby animals. Too cute! And I had the fabulous Kyles from Blissful Pumpkin as my partner so I was very excited to receive mine!

Anyway here are the cards I sent to her.

This months challenge is lady bugs and I am very excited about this one as my youngest was called Lady Bug, and now just Bug, since I first found out I was pregnant with her.

I have another huge week ahead planned, including, as part of my year of bravery, a new monthly give away, and the next life book class.

☆ New ATC's

July's ATC exchange on the willowing website was 'Dream'.

Usually I would have been bursting with ideas for this theme. The word dream has a lot of meaning for me, especially since I have been having vivid, full colour, full immersion dreams since I was a small child.

I have, on occasion, been accused of dreaming instead of paying attention, my doodles would often cover school books, pencil cases, backpacks, and of course my big dream at the moment is to life a full and creative life.

But I was strangely blank, nothing was grabbing me, the 10 sketches I did were useless, and I procrastinated. And procrastinated.

Until Mr Mac, sick of my moaning, sat me at the dining room table and told me I wasn't to move until they were completed.

And this is the result...

☆ Summer Song [ATC exchange]

It was difficult to illustrate this theme - especially since we are in the icy and howling depths of winter, I had to really reach for some inspiration.

(I actually wasn't going to join this month - but one night I had a few to many glasses of wine and I signed up... oh. crap.)

Here is my interpretation of Summer Song.

Sleepless

"The Symphony of the willy wag tail at 3am 

on a hot & sticky summers eve

keeping me awake"

Red

 "The slurp and crunch of the reddest and juciest home grown

strawberry, pick and eaten in the garden, before the kids get them"

Summer seems so far away at the moment. sigh.

May's ATC exchange was 'OWL' and I had such fun creating these two wee pieces.

☆ Umbrella [April's ATC]

Now that my ATC partner has received her 'Umbrella' ATC's I can now share them. I love to collage, one of my year twelve major works was three huge collages, and this was a great way to get back into it on a much smaller scale, although the ideas for these cards took longer to take form than some of my other ATC challenges.

Anyway here they are:

I have been hanging onto these since the end of march - I wanted to make sure my partner received them before I shared them with you.

Aprils ATC Exchange on the willowing network was Red Ridding Hood.

I had so much fun, that I made two extra for me!
