☆ Stag [Friday Art]

Do you ever have so many ideas that you can't think of where to begin?

When sometimes it is easier to just ignore those ideas, because trying to sort though the tangle + jumble is just too hard.

That is me just now.

I have ideas for paintings, projects, life, business, relationships.. and even though I have written these all down, in various places + bless my organised + control freaky soul + I have some kind of schedule to fit these all in, but I still feel cloudy + aimless.

Clarity is just out of reach.

Usually this would totally freak me out. I couldn't possible not have clarity, have a direction, but some how I have just enough direction to soothe the part of me which should be freaking out.

I couldn't even figure out what painting I want to start first, so in the end, I ignored my ideas journal + just played.

This page is really heavy with ink + sprays + I am playing with an idea I have for another painting.

I probably won't even finish this piece - but only because I love the unfinished aspect of it.

And leaving it unfinished, [like last weeks painting where I realised less is more], is such a huge step for me.

Just like not stressing over my lack of clarity is a massive step.

So what do you do when you need to have some direction but can't figure out where to start. What tips + trick can you share with the rest of us. I'd love to hear your stories.

Have a great weekend.

  5. This gal is way looser a fun style as well!! I do everything by intuition, so I'm not great to ask. I start one way and end in a completely different way...go figure!! Some people are list makers...I'm not one. I usually stick a thought, quote or idea on a blog draft and elaborate when I run out of ideas! Some things never materialize...others flow...sorry no help here!

Hugs Giggles who always loves your art!
