Botticelli's painting Primavera was this weeks Inspiration Avenue challenge. And what a challenge!

Of the nine figures in Botticelli's painting, three of them are the 'Graces'. They are the goddesses of Charm, Beauty and Creativity.

I didn't need to read any more, (although of course I did!), because I knew what I wanted to paint this week. I wanted to put my spin on the Three Graces.

So here they are, goddess of charm, creativity and beauty.

Thanks to Lisa, for this weeks challenge.

  3. Hi Kirsten! I was hoping someone would be enticed to do the 3 Graces.
I am am over the moon with your artwork! Now YOU have inspired ME to
    do my version.
I love the paint brushes in Creativity's hair.
These girls remind me of my Blythe doll...you could pull the string in the back of her head to change eye color...you are prolly too young to remember :)
Anyway, brilliant work this week. ♥♥♥

    1. Thanks! The blue bird was inspired by Beans collection of princess stories - they all seem to have charm with the birds don't they! x

  11. Congratulations again, and I love these Three Graces! I could definitely see them as a children's animated show characters, with their expressive faces, big eyes, and the life and soul you see into them. Really pretty design.
